The game uses the LED Matrix of the Arduino UNO R4 to display the ball and paddles, offering a nostalgic and engaging experience. To build this project, you will need two Modulino Knobs, which means you'll need two Plug and Make Kits. Since LedPong is a two-player game, you can build and play it with a friend! Each match is won by the first player to secure five games. Every time a player wins a game, a LED on the Modulino Pixels will light up to show the current score. <h3>Needed material from the kit</h3>Before we start building, let's gather all the necessary components from the Plug and Make Kit: <ol><li>The Arduino UNO R4. </li><li>Modulino Base with the spacers. </li><li>2x Modulino Knob. </li><li>Modulino Buzzer. </li><li>Modulino Pixels. </li><li>Qwiic cables. </li><li>Screws and nuts. </li></ol> <figure><img src="https://projects.arduinocontent.cc/1c861740-7279-47e9-aa5a-31cbe61c5ab1.jpg"/><figcaption></figcaption></figure><h3>Configuring the Second Knob</h3>Since we are using two Modulino Knobs in the same Qwiic chain, we need to change the default address of one of the knobs. Here's how to do it: <ol><li>Install the Modulino Library : Open the Arduino IDE and install the Modulino library from the Arduino Library Manager. </li><li>Load the Address Changer Example : Navigate to File &gt; Examples &gt; Modulino &gt; Utilities &gt; AddressChanger. </li><li>Set a New Address : Modify the example code to assign a new address by setting the variable new_address to 0x08: </li></ol><pre>#include "Wire.h" </pre><pre>const uint8_t new_address = 0x08; </pre><pre>uint8_t address; </pre><pre>void setup() { </pre><pre>... </pre><ol><li>Upload the Sketch : Upload the sketch to the UNO R4. </li><li>Connect Only One Knob : Connect just one Modulino Knob to the UNO R4. </li><li>Follow Instructions : Reset the board and follow the instructions provided in the Serial Monitor to change the address. </li></ol><blockquote>Mark the Modified Knob: Use a marker to label the modified Modulino Knob so you can easily identify it later. </blockquote><h3>Assembling the Game</h3>Attach the Arduino UNO R4 and all the required Modulinos onto the Modulino Base. Place the reconfigured Modulino Knob on the right side; this knob will control the right paddle. You can arrange the Modulinos on the yellow plate as you like.
