<html><body>The Arduino® UNO Q is a powerful dual-brain architecture board that features both an MPU and and an MCU. The MPU runs Debian OS (Linux) which is capable of running anything from web servers to machine learning models - and yes, even video games! In early September, we ran a Hackathon in Copenhagen, together with <a href="https://www.summerengine.com/">Summer Engine </a>, with the goal of: <ol><li>Use Summer Engine to develop a game, using agent via an MCP. </li><li>Inform the agent to export the game to the Arduino® UNO Q (an arm64 binary). </li><li>Play the game directly on the bord, using a Media Carrier, Modulino Buttons, Modulino Joystick and a 5" DSI touch display - making it fully portable! </li></ol>The hackathon ran with 9 teams: all teams were able to complete the mission, and some with great results! So let's take a deeper look at how this was achieved. <h3>First Step: Assemble the Hardware</h3>The hardware assembly was incredibly straightforward, due to the plug &amp; play format of the hardware. <ol><li>The UNO Q is connected to the Media Carrier using its high density connectors </li><li>The display is connected to the Media Carrier, using the DSI display port and a FFC cable (the display we used was conveniently powered via the FFC cable too </li><li>The Modulinos are connected to the UNO Q via the Qwiic connector &amp; cables, creating a daisy chain of devices </li></ol>Hardware assembly total time: ~10 minutes <h3>Second Step: Setup Your Agent</h3>This process was fully guided by agentic AI, and here are the steps for making that happen: <ol><li>First, make sure you have an agent installed on your machine (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity CLI, Codex..) </li><li>Paste the following prompt to the agent, which will then guide you through the full setup: </li></ol><pre>“Install Summer Engine and let's make a game for the Arduino Uno Q. Read github.com/SummerEngine/summer-uno-q, check what I already have installed, install whatever is missing, and log me in.” </pre>This step will allow the agent to read instructions from a tailored skill, and set up all dependencies needed to make this work. After it is finished setting up, we can go ahead and develop our game using the Summer Engine platform. <h3>Third Step: Make &amp; Export the Game</h3>This step was the most time-consuming, as it involved literally building a game from scratch, using Summer Engine. However, this process may vary from 30 minutes, to 2 months, depending on the quality you want on the game. This process is fully guided by you and the agent (there are no rights and wrongs). But at the end, when the game has been built, you need to ask it to export it to the Arduino UNO Q. At this point, it needs to be connected to your computer. <blockquote>Note that the agent will gain access to your board, and will need to install necessary tools (like adb) to communicate with it. </blockquote> If all goes well, it will be exported as an App, and automatically start on your board. You can also manually start it from the Arduino App Lab. <h3>Summary</h3>This tutorial is pretty much an excerpt from the Hackathon. I hope you find it useful, but understand that not all agents etc. have been tested with this setup. We can confirm that Claude Code with Opus 5 model works, but many other combinations should work as well. Happy Hacking! </body></html>
