1. Connect the First pin from the left of TSOP1738 (OUT pin) with pin 11 of Arduino. 2. Hook the Middle pin (GND pin) with the GND pin of Arduino. 3. Connect the third and the last pin (VCC pin) with 5V pin of Arduino.

i dont get any output from the serial port. how to check if i received a faulty IR receiver?

**Sorry for Delay in Respose** If u receive FFFFFF.. on LCD it means that u have pressed button for a very long time and sensor got confused and secondly it may also cause that your button isn't working that's why it shows like this sometimes. So pls press the button for a short duration and press the button's softly
