Can we use Arduino Nano instead of pro mini ?

Yes you can they are compatible. But arduino Nano has a bit more pins, so you need to adapt the PCB accordingly, you can check out the pinout here: http://pighixxx.tumblr.com/post/42591353009/arduino-nano-pinout You will also won't need the "Arduino FTDI adaptor" you can program it directly through the USB port!
