Apologies Terrance. The code is used for the flashing of the LEDs through the Arduino board.

Hi Terrance, im not too sure what your asking? if you mean why create this device, in healthcare simulation training centers Code Red and Blue buttons cannot be used or do not exist. this is a workaround, Also this just provides another example of how-to for users

There's a programming code at the bottom of the instructions and I wasn't sure what it was used for.
