Any chance the source code can be found somewhere?

Wow, this is an amazing build! I remember playing that text-UI Star Trek game and it was amazingly fun. I especially loved the need to manage the inner workings of the ship(energy reserves, etc). Looking at the HW interface, I can't help but wonder if additional OLED displays could have been used for the ship icon in the upper left for the shields and to the right for the armaments/damage indicators, to allow for different ships to be acquired/boarded... ie, expanding even further on the functionality of the game. Very very cool. Am tempted to make one, as I've been looking for a project to incorporate some older style era submarine modular component looks and some kind of game that would benefit from such an aesthetic.... very very nice implementation!!

Thank you! The ship icon and symbolic display of the state of the ship systems are not necessary, they are made purely for beauty. At the same time, the state of systems is displayed in three colors, while small OLED screens are usually presented in one or two colors. The simplest option is to use the main color screen to display the status - then additional screens are not needed at all. Technically, it is possible to connect a second color screen, but at the time of the creation of the device I did not have such a task. This would greatly complicate an already very busy project. Controlling twelve tricolor LEDs is much easier - just one additional contact is involved. It's still an arduino, not a pentium 3 :) Again, the various ship upgrades that can be obtained have much more impact on the game than the appearance of the panel.

Hihi! I'm totally in love with this concept and would dare to replicate it myself. Would you please help with a pointer to the source code if it's open sourced? Thanks!!

Thank you! If there are more people interested, maybe I will make a few of the same. However, I do not know how the device will survive the transportation to Canada.

Very cool project. Would also like to try it. I tried e-mailing you but the address gets rejected by gmail. Would love to see the code as a pointer.
