That kept happening to me with motors, sensors, modules, and other electronics parts. So instead of trying to maintain a boring inventory spreadsheet, I decided to build something more useful an Inventory Bot . This project uses the Arduino UNO Q, a TFT display, a rotary knob, and a buzzer to create a simple desktop inventory manager for electronics components. It also includes a built-in Pomodoro timer , so you can use it as a small productivity tool while working on your projects. Display Wiring Connect the TFT display to the Arduino UNO Q according to the display's interface and pinout. For the final assembly, I soldered the display directly to the UNO Q instead of using jumper wires. In this project, the Arduino side handles the hardware and user interface, while the Linux side manages the inventory data and application logic. To get started, simply download the inventory.zip file and import it into Arduino App Lab. The parts were printed in three colours at a 0.16 mm layer height, without supports. Assembly Before assembling the enclosure, install the M2 brass inserts into the mounting holes. The inserts can be installed by gently pressing them into the printed holes using a soldering iron. After that, place the display, UNO Q, and other components into their respective positions and secure everything using M2 × 5 mm screws. Components are organised into categories such as: * MCUs * Displays * Sensors * Modules * Motors * And more Select a category by rotating the knob and pressing it to open. <figure><img src="https://projects.arduinocontent.cc/09bc02f9-f15c-463e-8ee3-a8c60448581d.png"/><figcaption></figcaption></figure> Changing Quantities To change the quantity of a component: 1. Select the component. 2. Press the knob to enter Edit Mode. 3. Rotate the knob to increase or decrease the quantity. 4. Press the knob again to save. The updated quantity is stored on the Linux side of the UNO Q, so your inventory remains saved even after powering the device off. To return to the previous menu, press and hold the knob. <figure><img src="https://projects.arduinocontent.cc/1aea3726-348d-450c-acbd-b7208fb0febb.png"/><figcaption></figcaption></figure> Pomodoro Timer At the bottom of the inventory menu, you'll find the Pomodoro Timer. You can set a timer from 5 to 120 minutes. Once the timer reaches zero, the buzzer plays a notification sound and the display shows a message indicating that the focus session is complete. The combination of the Arduino UNO Q's microcontroller and Linux capabilities makes it possible to handle the user interface, hardware, and persistent inventory data in one compact device.
