Thanks for sharing. That soil moisture sensor you're using will be useless after 3 or 4 days in the soil. I've been using the capacitance based soil moisture sensor which seems to last much longer. For example: https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20191111083522&SearchText=capacitance+soil+moisture

Yes the resistive moisture sensor becomes easily corroded , and the Capacitive Moisture sensor is much better when it comes to extending working lifetime of the product.
